crotchet fail

me and my genius brain decided that i wanted to crochet a shawl.  Shawly i could do that, couldn't i.

here's my wool
and i am off - with a lot of help from my mum.

Two night's later, i had crotcheted enough to make a shawl for barbie.
Four nights later, i am well on the way to a massive fail. The project is no longer a triangle, but an unidentified shape which saw me making up my own new crocheting stitches
CROCHET TAKE ONE - fail

CROCHET TAKE TWO - fail
I did try to pretend this never happened and tried my best to start a brand new one using the instructions below, which i didn't understand (even the piccy's didn't help), but i was doing my best to make sure my mum never found out, which if course she did
CROCHET TAKE THREE - fail
there's no photo of this cause take three has been unpicked and is now CROCHET TAKE FOUR as per Mumma's expertise.
I don't think crochet's for me
cause clearly, it's against me
