today's been a particulary difficult day as it's been 12 months since dave's dad passed away. although the sun was shining and the sky was an incredible clear winter blue, there was no hiding the fact that it was going to be a hard day - not only for dave, but for the rest of his family who are in different parts of the world.
we still have such admiration and gratitude for the staff who work in the ICU and cared for Jim and today we took them a morning tea as a thank you and to acknowledge this day - even a box of home made jam drops isn't enough for those amazing people.
dave did get an opportunity to say a quick hello to some of the staff who cared for his dad, when he made the delivery and i think he was happy that it worked out that way as it was a reconnection that hopefully helped him through this significant day when he couldn't be with his mum.
